As young boy's growing up in a small town like Saint Helens, the best place to hang out at was The Bike Shop, there wasn't much else to do.  The previous owner Robert Clammer was always so kind to me and my brother, even though now as I look back we must have drove him absolutely crazy always stopping by to see if he could lend a hand with something that wasn't quit working right or maybe to check out, and dream, about all of the newest BMX bikes that just came in.  As I got older I would still stop by a few times a year just to say hi and see how things were going and Bob would always be behind the counter working on someones bike.  As I would enter into the store Bob would turn around to see who it was and you always knew that He would have a smile on his face and would drop everything he was doing to talk for as long as you like.  Gosh, how those years went by so fast I will never know.  I had alway dreamed about the possibility of purchasing The Bike Shop and even had mentioned it to Mom, Dad and my Brother Phil, never really believing it would happen then around Oct 2001 my parents and brother said that they were thinking about purchasing The Bike Shop, I couldn't beleive it, so we pulled all of our resources together and went for it.  We opened the doors under new ownership around November 2001 and have never looked back.  It is definetely a privilege and honor to serve the cycling community in this area, and we can hardly wait to see what the future holds for us.
